Abstract

Nowadays, the environmental dimension in the Sports and Physical Culture System presents a new challenge to professionals from this field: to implement the Environment Strategy of the province to all programs. Beach Volleyball practice is an activity in which environmental dimension is inevitable. Santiago's seaboard, a beautiful natural scenery that astonishes everyone, is a place where Beach Volleyball is practiced, for instance in La Socapa and El Cayo it has a great success in the community. This research tackles the environmental education importance within the Beach Volleyball practice, and the opportunity of training professors using the “Coaching Service” or “Direct Consultancy”, as premise to implement the Environmental Strategy as well as to help Beach Volleyball be a sustainable sport, in correspondence to the “Third Olympic Sports Pillar”, the environment, established by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) after the Earth Summit celebrated in Rio de Janeiro, 1992.
