Instrument for quality assessment in high performance sport teams

Abstract

This paper, focuses in the design of an instrument for quality assessment in sport teams. The precedent, is the work of Millán who created a tool, addressed to assess quality from performance in competitions. Its application confirmed, the need to design a new tool able to adjust more to sport’s requirement. Once designed the instrument, was applied in young sport teams, supported by observation, group interview and documents revision. The results confirmed that teams with the best performance, obtained a highest level of quality; also, there was relationship among performance fulfilment with level of sport man and staff, beside, troubles in material resources, doesn’t avoided to achieve a sport success. Dimensions and indicators, responses to the sport particularities and give information to address sport to continuous perfection.
