Abstract

An investigation of intervention with the completion of a pre-experiment, to design and implement a strategy to adapt Volleyball in Physical Education and psychomotor improve 8th grade students of the school "Cobiella Horacio Dominguez" in Guáimaro. The duration was six months. We chose a probabilistic sample of 100% of the students mentioned. To give scientific validity methods were used theoretical, empirical and mathematical. Through these it was found that according to the criteria of the authors consulted, it is possible to make curricular adjustments in physical education in adolescents with mental retardation, always taking into account their strengths and weaknesses. The current status of the students was satisfactory with regard to the skills, but not psychomotor indicators, as only the force of arms was acceptable, adjustments were designed and basic access to their respective stages and phases that compose the adequacy strategy Volleyball in Physical Education and its implementation, we were able to develop the skills of the sport, psychomotor indicators, as well as the inclusion of families and overcoming physical education teachers
