Relationship between the level of education and occupation of graduates in Recreation and Sports

Abstract

At the San Daniel Comboni Educational Unit, the curriculum is more oriented to the practical
physical activity part than to the theoretical-scientific part. On the other hand, physical-sporng
activity was previously treated seriously: currently, there is not even a treatment for it. Scientific
studies observe technical education through employability in quality training and adaptation to
populion needs. Will the relationship between the training level and the current occupation of the
’s matter in this case? This research observes is relationship for Recreation and Sports
gradues at the aforementioned institution, during the 2018-2020 period. It focuses on the
occupational continuity of high school graduates linked to Physical Education activities and sports
from a work level, in relation to their higher studies. The research is quantitative of a descriptive
type and required the bibliographic review and the questionnaire. A low level of continuity of
graduates in the labor insertion for the field of Physical Education was detected; without being able
to clearly establish a level of relationship between the training received and the current occupation.
However, a favorable evaluation of the technical training received is contrasted with the applicability of current occupations. The level of training has a low impact on the possibilities of

Cristian Oliver Calderón-Palomino, Technical University of Ecuador "Luis Vargas Torres"

He has a Bachelor of Science in Education, mention Physical Culture, has a Master's Degree in Education, mention Physical Education and Sports that he studied at the Catholic University of Ecuador. He is currently a professor at the Luis Vargas Torres Technical University, Esmeraldas, Ecuador.
