About the Journal
The Arrancada magazine founded in 1978 by the Provincial Department of Sports of Santiago de Cuba, is the oldest scientific-technological publication in Cuba, specialized in Sports, Physical Education, Recreation, Therapeutic and Prophylactic Physical Culture, Professional Training and Applied Sciences. to the mentioned branches.
In its beginnings in 1978, its back cover in physical version, expressed: "This magazine publishes research results and contributions related to Physical Culture and sport", and was edited by the computer department of the Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER). in Santiago de Cuba. In 1989 it ceased to be published as a result of the impact of the Special Period. It restarted its publication in January 2001 in digital and printed format, but this time at the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports in Santiago de Cuba. It obtained ISSN 1729-3693 (RNPS 0443) and e-ISSN 1810-5882. In 2009, it began to be displayed digitally in HTML format and in 2022, it transformed its digital work style to continuous publication and declared a new workflow. In the same way, as of this date, the title and abstract of each article in Portuguese are added; with some work in a foreign language.
Currently the magazine works under the direction of the Universidad de Oriente, Cuba and is welcomed by a considerable reading community. Has been the propitious space for researchers in this area of knowledge to expose the results of their investigative work to the scientific community. The Arrancada work team is committed to quality editorial management in pursuit of the dissemination of innovative scientific research.
