Gestão das emoções para o desenvolvimento da competência de convivência e participação democrática

Resumo

O fortalecimento das habilidades socioemocionais, a promoção de uma cultura democrática, a melhoria do clima escolar, a prevenção de problemáticas sociais, a contribuição para o desenvolvimento integral do estudante, a contextualização local e a inovação educacional constituem indicadores fundamentais para o desenvolvimento de uma gestão emocional significativa nos alunos. Nesse sentido, o objetivo deste estudo foi demonstrar a eficácia da aplicação de um programa de gestão emocional no desenvolvimento da competência “conviver e participar democraticamente” em estudantes-atletas de uma instituição educacional localizada em Bernal, região de Piura, durante o ano de 2024. Trata-se de uma pesquisa quase-experimental (pré-teste e pós-teste), com a implementação de um programa de gestão emocional em estudantes-atletas de Piura. A amostra foi dividida em grupo experimental e grupo controle (n = 30 em cada grupo). Utilizou-se uma escala Likert de cinco níveis para avaliar os aspectos da competência “conviver e participar de forma democrática” nas dimensões Interação com as Pessoas, Construção de Normas e Acordos, Gestão de Conflitos e Promoção do Bem-Estar Comum. Foram observados avanços significativos no grupo experimental ao final do processo de intervenção. A análise intragrupo revelou diferenças significativas entre o pré-teste e o pós-teste no grupo experimental (p < 0.001), em contraste com o grupo controle, que não apresentou variações significativas. Da mesma forma, as comparações intergrupais no pós-teste evidenciaram diferenças significativas em favor do grupo experimental. A gestão emocional representa um meio eficaz para promover a competência “conviver e participar democraticamente.” A educação emocional não deve ser considerada uma alternativa, mas sim um elemento essencial do currículo escolar.
