Reflections about the sports language in a sample from the TV news program of Santiago de Cuba

Abstract

The main objective of this work is to present the most important facts of the research as well as the reached results. That's why it has been structured in five sections. The first one shows the particular case of sports language among the studies about Spanish language in the media, and also some theoretical approaches and points of the investigation concerning the Latin America subject are checked. Somme comments about the investigation sample are described in the second section. The third one shows the analysis theoretical aspects, concepts definition and the terminology that was used. The fourth section shows the result of each of the two parameters of syntactical and lexical analysis, altogether some observations and commentaries. As a conclusion some considerations are exponed.
