The present research aimed to determine the relationship between entomological capacities and Aedes aegypti risk control in a canton of Ecuador during 2026, with particular emphasis on their articulation with physical culture and sport as a complementary public health strategy. The study was developed under a quantitative approach, with a non-experimental, cross-sectional, and correlational design, using a sample of 132 participants selected by convenience among health personnel and community actors linked to vector surveillance. The results showed a very high and statistically significant positive relationship between entomological capacities and risk control (Rho = 0.979; p < 0.001). Likewise, technical strengthening of personnel (Rho = 0.940), training strategies (Rho = 0.974), and vector control competencies (Rho = 0.966) presented very high positive correlations with risk control. It was concluded that strengthening entomological capacities constitutes a strategic component for vector surveillance and control, and that their integration with community physical activity programs and recreational sport can enhance social participation and adherence to preventive measures, reducing the territory’s vulnerability to dengue and other arboviral diseases.
