Cuban AHTRT sports training system, its use in combat sports

The objective of the research is to design a Cuban training system for combat sports called "AHTRT" that adapts to the current conditions of preparation of a High Performance athlete. Among the fundamental antecedents of the subject appear Verjochanski (1990); Platonov, V. N. (1991). The study makes a critique of Matveev's (1983) periodization and the ATR system, exploring its advantages and disadvantages to create a new structure. It is necessary to study and create new designs of sports preparation that adapt to current competition conditions with a holistic vision of the contemporary and replace the precursor and traditional models, without violating the basic principles of training. Theoretical methods were used such as the analyticalsynthetic one that made possible the systematization of the theoretical-methodological elements that justify the proposed sports training model and the structural systemic approach as a methodological tool for the elaboration of the model. The research exposes a Cuban model or training system sports for elite athletes in combat sports called AHTRT that takes into account the characteristics of our athletes, the training conditions of our country and also the competitive demands of modern sport in high performance.
