Abstract

The research topic exercises to improve the average speed in the corridors of 800 m / p, school class, is a topic of vital importance for the development of high performance sport.
It is aimed at a study of athletes from the Middle fund school category of the provincial EIDE Guantanamo, within the main weaknesses identified after the initial diagnosis applied met: the exaggerated knee lift: decreases the amplitude step, exaggerated trunk tilt forward: opposes fluid movements and impair the action of the movement, exaggerated shoulders and tense elevated in shape and lifting and lowering of the head indicates the vertical displacement of the center of gravity.
To carry out this investigation theoretical methods were applied: - logical analysis - synthesis and functional structural systems approach; level of empirical methods such as observation, experiment in his pre-experiment mode, and the interview and survey techniques; in addition to statistical and mathematical level: the coefficient of variation, standard deviation and the arithmetic mean.
From empirical techniques and methods it was found that the results in the first 400 m identifying the average speed does not reach the appropriate levels for this category has fallen below the rates of strength and speed endurance, for that reason, we appreciate the need for this exercise to improve physical capacity in the investigated corridors.
