This High-performance taekwondo in the sub-20 category faces the challenge of optimizing training planning to improve athletes’ performance. In this context, the present study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the ATR model (Accumulation, Transformation, and Realization) in sub-20 taekwondo practitioners. A pretest-posttest design was used with a sample of 10 athletes, measuring key variables such as speed, explosive strength, and technical skills through specific physical and tactical tests. The methodology included training sessions structured according to the phases of the ATR model, allowing for appropriate progression in workload. The results showed significant improvements in all evaluated variables, highlighting a notable increase in speed and explosive strength, as well as in the technical execution of movements. These findings suggest that the ATR model is not only effective for training planning but also contributes to the comprehensive development of young taekwondo practitioners. In conclusion, the ATR model presents itself as a tool to optimize performance in high-performance youth taekwondo, offering a systematic approach that can be adapted to the specific needs of athletes in this category.
