Methodology for offensive technical-tactical preparation in Cuban school footballers: a study at the Rafael Freyre Torres EIDE

This research addressed the need for contextualized methodologies for the technical-tactical preparation of offensive soccer players in Cuban school-aged children. The objective was to develop and implement a methodology to improve this preparation in players aged 13 to 15 at the Rafael Freyre Torres Sports Initiation School (EIDE) in Guantánamo. A pre-experimental pretest-posttest design was used, employing theoretical and empirical methods such as document analysis, interviews, non-participant observation, and methodological triangulation. The sample consisted of 18 soccer players selected through non-probability purposive sampling. The results showed significant improvements (p<0.05) in key indicators: effective off-the-ball movement (43.3%), through ball (48.0%), and shot accuracy (63.2%). It is concluded that the proposed methodology is effective in improving technical-tactical preparation of offensive players, but requires teacher training for its systematic implementation in Cuban educational settings.
