Percepções de autodefesa física de atletas mulheres: um estudo interdisciplinar em esportes de combate

Este estudo investigou os níveis de percepção de autodefesa de mulheres atletas de esportes de combate frente a agressões físicas e examinou possíveis diferenças entre modalidades. A pesquisa incluiu um total de 463 atletas mulheres voluntárias (média de idade ± desvio-padrão = 24.92 ± 8.30 anos), com pelo menos 2 anos de experiência em judô (n = 150), karatê (n = 128), taekwondo (n = 49), luta livre (n = 54) e kickboxing (n = 82). As participantes responderam a um “Formulário de Informações Pessoais” e à “Escala de Autodefesa Contra Ataques Físicos”. Os resultados indicaram que atletas de nível nacional obtiveram escores mais elevados na subdimensão “autodefesa contra ataques físicos simples” (p < .032). Além disso, mulheres praticantes de luta livre e judô apresentaram níveis de percepção de autodefesa contra ataques físicos simples significativamente maiores do que as praticantes de kickboxing (p < .002). Ademais, maior tempo de experiência correlacionou-se positivamente com ambas as subdimensões, enquanto o aumento da idade apresentou correlação positiva baixa, porém significativa, apenas com a subdimensão “autodefesa contra ataques físicos simples” (r = .207; p < .01), (r = .113; p < .05) e (r = .155; p < .01). Este estudo pode servir como referência para mulheres interessadas em esportes de combate com finalidade de autodefesa física.
