Addressing, from an interdisciplinary perspective, the relationship between moderate aerobic physical activity and English lexical retention in university students is essential for proposing innovative strategies that promote foreign language learning while counteracting the sedentary lifestyle characteristic of the university context. The objective of this study was to analyze the effect of a moderate aerobic physical activity program on English lexical retention in university students. This quantitative research followed a quasi-experimental pretest–posttest design with a single group (n = 30). The intervention consisted of a structured and controlled moderate aerobic physical activity program applied to lexical retention, verbal memory, attention, and physical activity level. Significant improvements were observed. In the Vocabulary Size Test (VST), a substantial increase was found between pretest and posttest scores (Wilcoxon: Z < −3.40; p < .01), with a predominance of positive ranks, indicating an increase in receptive English vocabulary. Likewise, the Rey Auditory Verbal Learning Test (RAVLT) showed significant improvements in long-term memory and verbal learning (p < .001; Z < −3.60). The d2 Test of Attention revealed a significant increase in concentration and selective attention (Z < −3.70; p < .001). Finally, the IPAQ indicated a significant change in physical activity level, shifting from low to moderate (Z < −3.90; p < .001). Moderate aerobic physical activity may constitute an effective neuroeducational strategy for improving English lexical retention in university students.
