The Science and Technological Innovation System of the sports sector in Sancti Spíritus

Abstract

The research entitled "The System of Science and Technological Innovation (SSTI) of the Sancti Spíritus Sports Sector" has had as general objective the determination of the actions to be implemented in the sports sector of this province to contribute to a greater integration of its components. To achieve this objective, a sample of the research carried out in the province was analyzed, consisting of 30graduation thesis, 5 community projects and 20 master's theses. Fifty beneficiaries of community projects, 10 professionals from the sports sector and 5 teachers from the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sport Sciences also offered data for the Research. The methods of the theoretical level that were used to understand the role of the organization of the process of science and technological innovation in the entities analyzed are: historical-logical, analysis-synthesis and induction-deduction. Surveys and interviews were also used in the Research and observations were made. The first result of the Research is the characterization of the province's SSTI environment, which includes weaknesses, threats, strengths and opportunities and the actors that make it up. In addition to this result, actions were identified to improve the functioning of the SSTI and the trends in Science and technological innovation in the sector. The conclusions confirm the need to work on integration, harnessing the human potential available, seeking financing and matching the results of the researches presented and the real needs of the sector.
