Swimming is ideal for strengthening muscles, improving cardiorespiratory fitness and maintaining a healthy lifestyle in the elderly. However, aquatic activities are scarce in the elderly program. The objective of this research is to apply a set of activities and exercises in the water to minimize and compensate some of the diseases suffered by older adults. Theoretical, empirical and statistical methods were used, within the theoretical ones the analysis-synthesis and induction-deduction. The empirical methods were documentary review, observation, survey and interview. As statistical-mathematical the descriptive statistics. The population was 246 adults from the community of Ciudamar. A sample of 50 older adults grouped in 2 circles of grandparents between 55 and 65 years of age of both sexes was selected as a sample. The results showed insufficiencies in different health indicators such as hypertension, obesity, poor joint mobility, arthritis and diabetes. The conclusions highlight the need for planning aquatic activities to improve the mood, movement and joint mobility of those who practice them.
