Thai massage techniques to increase the sport performance

This study was aimed at the application of Thai massage techniques in the sport taking as sample 5 female sprinter athletes, in the modalities of 100, 200, 400 and 800 meters flat. Coaches and specialists were interviewed. A total of 6 trainers (56.3% of the population) were interviewed from a structured guide and the results showed the need to study and apply methods, training techniques, that allow to perfect the plans, therefore, the level of development In practice it turns out to be limited. It was also taken as sample 5 athletes athletics. After Thai massage techniques were applied during training and competitions, significant results were obtained as recorded performances improved considerably compared to the previous year. The techniques were accepted by the athletes and endorsed by professors and specialists, validated with the application of Friedman's hypothesis test. Finally, it was determined that the techniques of Thai massage combined with the manipulations of sports massage were effective in the performance of the athletes investigated in Santiago de Cuba.Downloads
