Analysis of the technical-tactical ranking of Cuban women's volleyball, school level 2023

The analysis of tactical technical performance is an essential component of the sports training management process, although in the initiation categories the literature shows few research for volleyball, for which there is a need to previously study some basic indicators as a basis for a prospective investigation of greater scientific scope. In this sense, the research objective is to analyze the tactical technical ranking of Cuban women's volleyball at the school level, year 2023. The research is descriptive/explanatory, studying the best ranked players in the Juegos Escolares Nacionales de Alto Rendimiento, female gender (Pinar de Río 2023), which include Spiker (N=23); Blocking (N=16), Serving (N=33), Field Defense (N=24), Reception (N=26) and the Most Valuable Player (N=10). The median for Serving was established at 58.57, Spiker at 57.32, Blocking at 49.49, Receiving at 47.72, Defense at 48.21, and the Most Valuable Player at 53.36, values corresponding to the 50th percentile. Dispersion values were low at Receiving (≈1.32) and Defense (≈0.78), and medium-high in the rest, while the champion team (Pinar del Río) presented the highest number of players in the ranking in Serve, Spiker, Defense and Most Valuable Player. A descriptive correspondence was determined between the number of best players in the ranking, and the best places obtained by teams, requiring a group of future actions based on the results obtained.
