Evaluation of laterality in deaf wrestlers of the social category

The research evaluates laterality in deaf wrestlers of the social category of Santiago de Cuba with the purpose of characterizing the motor preferences or laterality patterns of deaf and hearing impaired parathletes in order to use these indicators in the maximization of their competitive results. It was observed that they do not always
comply with the dynamics of maximizing these results in the competitions where they participate. The objective is to characterize the motor preferences or patterns of laterality of deaf and hearing impaired parathletes of the social
category of Santiago de Cuba. The study was descriptive and explanatory, using theoretical (analysis-synthesis and inductive-deductive) and empirical methods (documentary analysis and laterality test). We worked with am population of 4 deaf male athletes. All four belong to the national team. The result is materialized in the improvement of the athletes’ sports performance in training sessions from the application of the sports-methodological actions conceived and their evaluative indicators for their measurement.
