Child boxing: didactic approach to learning offensive combat stance
Keywords:
Boxing, Didactics, Learning, Offensive fighting stanceAbstract
The research is part of the growing interest in teaching methods and the practice of technical sports skills in teaching children’s boxing. It has been shown that the incorporation of recreational elements facilitates the learning of boxing techniques and the comprehensive development of confidence and self-esteem in new boxers. However, limitations were identified in the control group’s understanding and proper application of the offensive combat posture technique. This determines the objective of developing a didactic strategy for teaching the offensive combat posture of category boxers 11-12 years old. The study is based on a composition of analytical-synthetic, hypothetical-deductive, and systemic-structural-functional methods and a documentary review of the contents and methodological guidelines of sport. To evaluate feasibility, participatory observation, the questionnaire technique and inferential statistical analysis were used, complemented with an experiment in pre-experiment mode. The results obtained demonstrated the importance of continuous feedback and the integration of the elements of the strategy to sustain motivation in learning the offensive technique, as well as the commitment of the athletes in its execution. It is concluded that the pedagogical approach of practical and theoretical elements combined with play and learning, favors progress in knowledge of children’s boxing.
