Abstract

The access to the university classrooms implies a significant leap in the academic life of the student. The demands of a more independent learning and developer are not always treated equally in them. Within these demands is the search of scientific information and knowledge to fulfill the tasks teachers of the year that may not always achieved with quality. This difficulty was observed in the first year of the career of Physical Culture where from the scientific observation and the application of methods and scientific instruments as the analysis - synthesis, induction-deduction and interviews and surveys to teachers and students are able to gather the information and experience that is expressed in the present work. The objective of this study focuses on the need to design a strategy of interdisciplinary work aimed at developing reading skills that favor the pursuit of scientific information in the students of the career of physical culture of Santiago de Cuba. As important results have been achieved: the methodological work in collective team of first year of the career, the implementation of the strategy for the encouragement of reading skills and the creation of reading circles in the year.
